Athletes in Action at UConn blog is underway!

We are excited to unveil our new AIA at UConn blog.  Here you will get a better sense of what God is doing at the University of Connecticut through athletes, coaches, and our AIA staff.  

As you probably already know, UConn has one of the best athletic departments in the nation, fielding excellent teams in a variety of men's and women's sports.  The men's and women's basketball programs, soccer, and field hockey teams have all won national championships in recent years.  These young men and women invest many hours of their time representing this university at the highest level of intercollegiate competition.

We desire that every single one of these student-athletes, and their coaches, know someone who knows Jesus.  We seek to invest our lives into them, introducing them to Christ, helping them grow in their faith, and equipping them to influence others for a lifetime for Jesus.  Moreover, we want to leverage the power of sport to influence the world with the gospel.  

That's what we are about with Athletes in Action.  We will share stories of faith and perseverance and encourage you as you pay attention to UConn athletics, knowing that the Lord is at work here in the lives of these wonderful young men and women.
